Dating #NoFilter is a blind dating show built for the modern world. In each half-hour episode, three pairs of comedian commentators follow real singles on the most “outrageous, intimate and surprising” first dates.
For Season 2, NBC / E! needed static digital key art in various sizes to be used on E!Online and VOD. Because the couples and comedians vary from episode to episode, we had to keep the art conceptual (no talent). The art also had to work without the show logo for streaming UI purposes, which meant it had to communicate quickly and simply. We were encouraged to think in “emoji” terms, especially since the show is built for the “swipe right” generation. It’s not every day a client tells you to be “cheeky” with your concepts. Needless to say, we loved this challenge.
